EPP joins the CIA in the USA
Our MD, James Stuart, is travelling with the CIA (Chemicals Industries Association) on a Trade Mission to the USA. The trip includes meetings with 5 of the largest innovator Agri-chemical business in the world, a visit to Chemicals America in Charleston and Transatlantic trade discussions in Washington, DC.
We caught up with James in Charleston as he attended the UKTI and CIA Tea Party, a quintessentially British experience in the heart of the Specialty & Agro Chemicals America 2015 show.
“The Mission has been going very well so far. The talks from the leading players in the Agrochemical industry provided genuine insight to a dynamic and challenging sector. Whilst all are still clear that the mega-trends are extremely positive the near future, with changes in regulation and resistance, continues to be a very hard trading environment. Regulation is of course something EPP is well placed to help with!”
“Collaboration seems to be a major aspect of planning for the future believing that combing talents and technologies of companies offers the greatest potential for success. The sits very well with our own philosophy as collaboration and building strong long term relationships has always been a cornerstone of our approach.”
“The mood at the show is really very buoyant too and many of the 13 members of the trade delegation have had productive talks with US companies and others with US aspirations. From our point of view it has reinforced the demands regulation place on the whole gambit of fine chemical companies. This is a challenge we are well placed to help with and one even the biggest companies need support with.”
We’ll catch up again with James later in the mission.
