Expanding EPP’s Environmental Sciences Capabilities
Following another successful inspection by the UK Home Office Drugs Licensing & Compliance Unit, our controlled drugs licence covering a suite of Schedules (Schedules 1, 2, 3, and 4 parts 1 and 2) together with our Category 1 Precursor licence now extends over the whole of EPP’s facility (Glencorse Building and the EPP Environmental Centre). This enables us to continue to hold and synthesise controlled drug analytical reference standards, and utilise selected Category 1 precursor compounds, which may be associated with a larger GLP ecotoxicology and environmental fate testing programme at EPP on controlled drugs or their derivatives. EPP can also supply controlled drug analytical reference standards (including impurities, metabolites, stable-labelled variants of APIs) to other laboratories for testing purposes, and each reference standard accompanied with a comprehensive Certificate of Analysis.
The environmental sciences department has grown from strength to strength since its inception in 2014 and we are delighted to now confirm that we can support this type of pre-clinical testing and environmental risk assessment. We already support a range of animal and human health clients and are keen to continue to expand our capabilities for our clients.
